Carly Simon tribute concert to be held at New York City’s Carnegie Hall in March
Carly Simon will be saluted at the 16th in the series of star-studded annual tribute concerts held at New York City’s Carnegie Hall focusing on a single legendary artist, organized by local entrepreneur Michael Dorf.
“The Music of Carly Simon at Carnegie Hall” is scheduled for March 19, 2020, and will feature performances by 20 as-yet-unannounced artists. You can buy VIP packages now at MusicOf.org, while general admission tickets will be available soon.
All of the proceeds from the concert will go toward various music-education programs for underprivileged children and young people.
Among the artists who have been the subject of previous “Music Of” shows are The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Led Zeppelin, Van Morrison, Prince, Paul Simon, Aretha Franklin, Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, Elton John, R.E.M., The Who, Neil Young, David Byrne and Joni Mitchell.
Carly hasn’t released an album of new original songs since 2009, but last month she published a new memoir titled Touched by the Sun that’s focuses on her close friendship with the late Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
