Local talent was on full display Sept. 14 at the Sanford Performing Arts Center as ten musical performances were showcased during the Sanford on Stage event hosted by the Sanford Arts Commission.

More than 100 audience members, including a huge following of family and friends, enjoyed the wide array of talented singers during a flawless production emceed by SPAC Director Brett Williams. Melissa Alipalo of the Arts Commission announced that the event had raised $1,000 for the organization, which works to promote the arts and the community as an arts center.

The comeback story of the night belonged to Shaun Sadowski. He was performing for the first time in 20 years to the delight of his former junior high chorus teacher, Jane Kirton. His Aunt Mary said before the show, “I came down from Millinocket to support Shaun and his wonderful return to music.” Well-known local music teacher Caleb Randall finished the night, hitting iconic notes with precision and drawing a gasp of pleasure from the crowd.
