SHS athletes honored at SMAA awards night: Seven Sanford High School athletes were recognized for their outstanding performances this season at the Southern Maine Activities Association (SMAA) Basketball Awards Night. The honored players include four girls’ team members: Annie Stimmell, Mollie Puffer, Ava Hudson and Paige Sevigny. From the boys’ team, Luke Gendron, Dylan Gendron and Brady Adams received All-Conference selections.

An achievement to be proud of: Congratulations to the Sanford High School girls basketball team for recently winning the SMAA Sportsmanship Award! The team competed in the Class AA South Championship, making it to the semifinal round.

SCA girls serve up another state volleyball championship: Sanford Christian Academy (SCA) girls volleyball team won their division championship — for the second consecutive year — on Feb. 28 at Central Maine Community College. SCA competes in the ACEL Christian School league and completed the season with an undefeated record. Congratulations, Soldiers, on another championship season!
