April Vacation Week Activities

Sanford Parks and Recreation has posted their schedule of April vacation events on their Facebook page. They include Rock-N-Glo Bowling at Bowl-A-Rama all week at 12 pm each weekday for the cost of $15. Call 324-2401 for information.
Also, Shains of Maine is offering $1 kiddie cones all week. Tell them “The Ice Cream Man Sent Me.”
Tuesday, April 22
A Bike Hike starts at 12:15 at Memorial Gym. It’s a 3-mile easy ride on the Mousam Trail. No training wheels. Parents can join if they desire or wait on the playground. Helmets are a must. No registration required. Just show up.
A Fix-A-Bike clinic sponsored by the Bicycle Coalition of ME at 1 for youth 4th grade and up. Adults are welcome to participate. There will be bike lights and wrist bracelet giveaways. Register for this free event at Sanfordrec.com.
At 2:30 there will be Free Nerf Gun Fun for 3rd-8th graders at the Memorial Gym. Ammo is provided. Bring your nerf guns and required eye protection.
Wednesday, April 23
Fishing at #1 Pond for children 15 and younger with their parents at 8:30-10:30. Bring your poles and fresh worms from your garden. Someone will bring a shovel in case you forget your worms. Prizes for everyone.
Line Dancing for all ages 11-2 at the Memorial Gym. Cost is $2.00. Enter through door #3 at the back of the gym.
Kite Flying at Blouin field at 12:30. Bring your own kite.
Thursday, April 24
The rock wall will be set up at the lower parking lot next to the Memorial Gym from 3:30-5. Free for kids, teens and adults.
Friday, April 25
SNAG golf clinic for 6–8 year olds 9:15-10. Register online at sanfordrec.com. Cost is $10. Use door #7 to enter the building.
Learn Disc Golf at Gowen Park at 10:30. Some frisbees are available or bring your own.
