Press release

York County Community Action has chosen Lisa Tapert as director of Nasson Health Care, which offers medical and dental services in Springvale and Biddeford. Tapert, who has a master’s degree in public health, recently spearheaded the creation of Tapert Group, which offers technical assistance to health centers throughout Maine.

Tapert has over 20 years of leadership in health care delivery and public health initiatives and extensive experience with health center operations, compliance, and grant funding. Before acting as the principal at Tapert Group, she served as the chief program officer for the Maine Primary Care Association (MPCA). In this role, she collaborated with Maine’s health centers to offer technical assistance and deliver training. Her efforts led to securing over $6 million in funding for key initiatives. Additionally, as the chief executive officer for the Maine Mobile Health Program (MMHP), Tapert led a multi-disciplinary team to provide direct care services to agricultural workers and their families in rural Maine communities.

“I am honored to join the dynamic team at Nasson Health Care as its next director,” said Tapert. She added that as a part of Community Action, “Nasson is uniquely positioned to offer access to services that treat and care for the whole person. I believe our health center has tremendous opportunities to capitalize on this foundation, innovate for the future, and grow to meet the needs of those communities we serve by offering high-quality services for all.”
