Press Release

Habitat for Humanity of York County is proud to announce “Framing the Future,” a special fundraising event to be held on June 5 at Eldredge Lumber in Sanford. “We are turning an unexpected space into an unforgettable evening”, said Habitat’s Development Officer, Matt Blom. This exciting evening will mark not only a celebration of the affiliate’s 40th anniversary, but also the groundbreaking of its first-ever four-home subdivision, located in Sanford.

Set against the backdrop of a transformed indoor lumberyard, Framing the Future will offer guests an unforgettable evening featuring live music by the Lisa Mills Band, delicious cuisine catered by Above and Beyond Catering, and a chance to support affordable housing through raffles and a silent auction.

“This is more than a fundraiser,” says Habitat York County Executive Director. “It’s a celebration of four decades of building strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter — and a toast to what’s ahead, starting right here in Sanford.”

The upcoming build project, which will bring four affordable homes to local families, is a milestone for the organization and a symbol of its expanding impact across York County. All proceeds from Framing the Future will support Habitat’s mission to make safe, decent housing accessible to all.

Tickets are on sale at www.habitatyorkcounty.org. Community members, local businesses, and long-time supporters are invited to attend and be part of this occasion.

Don’t miss this inspiring evening of celebration, community, and commitment to a better future — one home at a time. For more information contact Matt at Matt.Blom@habitatyorkcounty.org.
