On Monday, May 26th the annual Memorial Day Parade will be held in Sanford beginning at 10 am. A Wreath Floating Ceremony will be held at Number One Pond at 9:30 am followed by the parade line up. The parade route begins at Gowen Park Drive, turns left onto Main Street, and ends at Central Park in Downtown Sanford. The parade will conclude with a ceremony and the laying of the last wreath in Central Park. Additionally, the Sanford Memorial Day Committee is looking for volunteers to place flags on May 24 at St. Ignatius Cemetery.
