Deborah A. Danahy, 68, of Sanford, passed away on May 25, 2025, at her home, surrounded by family. She was a computer programmer and had an incredible talent in quilting and sewing. She was devoted to her family, charity, and her Catholic faith. She is survived by her gracious family: four children, three brothers, six grandchildren, and a large extended family. A funeral mass was held on Friday, May 30, at St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Holy Family Church, and was followed by burial at St. Ignatius Cemetery.

Joanne C. Hall, 82, of Sanford, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, May 26, 2025, at Pinnacle Health and Rehabilitation in North Berwick. She was born on June 9, 1942, in Sanford to Walter and Kathleen (Rae) Chase. She grew up in Sanford, attended local schools, and graduated from Sanford High School, where she enjoyed playing basketball. Over the years, Joanne worked for several local businesses, including the First National Store and Sprague Electric. She later spent over a decade at Pratt & Whitney, where she built lasting friendships and eventually retired. Joanne could often be found motorcycling and snowmobiling with her husband Harold in her younger years. Joanne was also talented and creative. She enjoyed passing the time with all kinds of crafts, especially painting, ceramics, sewing, and quilting. She was also a gifted cook and, for a time, made beautiful wedding cakes. Above all, Joanne cherished her time spent with her grandchildren, taking great pride and joy in watching them grow. Her love, loyal friendship, strength and creativity will be missed. She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Kathleen, and by her devoted husband of 65 years, Harold R. Hall Jr. Joanne is survived by her loving children, daughter Tammy Tranchemontagne and her husband Charles; sons Alan Hall and his wife Jill, and Kenny Hall and his wife Jennifer. She is also survived by her brothers Charles E. Chase and Walter Chase; her cherished 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, May 31, at the Brother’s Chapel in Alfred.

Robert L. Kiley, 71, of Sanford passed away peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born on June 23, 1953, in Lewiston to Alice (Loring) Kiley. Robert, better known as Bobby or Kiley to friends and family, was raised in the Limerick and Waterboro area, where he attended local schools. He held several jobs over the years, including landscaper, water tower technician, and carpenter. He was a dedicated worker and talented craftsman who took great pride in his work. Many of his landscaping projects can be viewed in towns across Southern Maine. Bobby especially appreciated spending time at the Sanford social clubs, where he gained so many lifetime friendships. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Known for his social nature, easy smile, sense of humor, and infectious laugh, he enjoyed the time he spent with friends, family and loved ones. He is predeceased by his mother Alice, sisters Jo Lashua and Mary Reed, and a brother Ernest Kiley. Survivors include his wife, Catherine Kiley of Sanford; daughter Bobbi-Jo Kiley-Wisdom and her husband Glenroy of Limerick, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; brothers William of New Gloucester, George and his wife Marge of Waterboro; sisters Stell Mooney of New Gloucester, Patricia Hussey of Waterboro, Betty Graffam of Shapleigh and a large extended family. Services were held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Hollis on June 1. A celebration of life followed at the V.F.W. Post 9935 in Sanford.

Cheryl W. Rhoda, 69, of Sanford, died peacefully on Monday May 26, 2025, at her home. She was born in Sanford, the daughter of Charles and Anita Wentworth. She grew up in Sanford and graduated from Sanford High School in 1974. She had just celebrated her 50th high school reunion this past summer. After high school, Cheryl lived in Rochester, NY, and later in Florida, where she met her husband, Mike. Her father came to Florida to live with her for a time and when he passed away, Cheryl and Mike moved back to Maine. Cheryl opened her stained-glass studio, Glasworx, which she operated up until her retirement in 2021. Cheryl loved to cook and bake and was a successful gardener. She and Mike enjoyed travelling to Guilford to enjoy live music. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Cheryl was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Brian Wentworth. She is survived by her husband, Mike; her daughter, Karen Hamel and grandson, Mason Eck of Bradenton, FL; her son, Eric Hamel and a cousin, Hope Titcombe. There will not be any services at this time.
