RESTAURANT SET TO BREAK WORLD RECORD WITH DECADENT PIZZA FEATURING 150 DIFFERENT VARIETIES OF CHEESE!
Johnny Di Francesco is a world renowned chef and the founder of Melbourne’s award winning pizzeria 400 Gradi. Affectionately dubbed “Mr. Pizza,” the Italian restaurateur recently announced plans to break the world record for the most types of cheese on a pizza. In honor of today’s National Cheese Pizza day, the acclaimed gourmet will serve up 150 cheeses on a history making pizza base. The pizza will be available for $25 from September 5 to September 9 at all branches of the Gradi Group. The restaurant is no stranger to success, having previously captured public imagination by creating Australia’s famous Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle 99-cheese pizza in 2014. Since then, pizza aficionados around the world have battled for the title of “most cheese used,” with the current record held by a 111-variety pizza. Di Francesco said the dish is sure to be a hit with Italian cuisine lovers. “Getting 150 cheeses was a challenge but we did it – if I could have found more I would have definitely worked out a way to add more!,” he said. The mammoth offering will include everything from Gorgonzola and goats cheddar to ricotta salata and buffalo blue. There will also be ricotta, goat cheddar, Cornish kern, bocconcini, iberico, stilton, triple brie and much more.
