Peter Frampton adds 2020 UK and European dates to his farewell tour

The 69-year-old British guitar whiz has scheduled a series of 11 concerts in both his U.K. homeland and Europe in May and June of 2020. The shows kick off on May 24 in Edinburgh, U.K., and are plotted out through a June 11 performance in Brussels, Belgium.

“It wouldn’t be a proper ‘Farewell’ without coming home to the UK!” Frampton says in a message posted on his Twitter feed. “I’m thrilled to also be visiting Paris and Brussels in addition to Germany.”

Tickets for all of the shows are on sale now. Visit Frampton.com for more details.

As previously reported, Peter is retiring from touring because he’s been diagnosed with inclusion body myositis, a degenerative muscular disease that eventually will hamper his ability to play guitar.

In June, Frampton released his latest studio album, All Blues, a collection of blues covers Peter recorded with his touring band. The album spent 13 non-consecutive weeks on Billboard‘s Blues Albums chart this year.

In other news, earlier this month, Peter was spotted in a Nashville airport with Robert Plant and Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi. A photo of the three musicians was posted on Twitter by Tony Higbee, lead guitarist in ex-Cinderella singer Tom Keifer‘s solo band. No word on whether Frampton, Plant and Iommi are collaborating on a project together.
