The most recent exhibit, in the temporary location of the Goodall Memorial Library, 1364 Main St., Suite 11, in the Shaw’s shopping center, is a fundraiser for the library. Artists will donate 20% of sales proceeds to the library fund. Exhibiting artists include Searra Canfield, Urban Coombs, Terry Jellerson, Paula Pettyjohn, Robert Mongue, Traci Nason, Ila Nelsen, Evelyn Nitzberg, Marie Wilson-Lago and Hilary Zayed. The library exhibit will hang through the summer. Thank you, Ann Thomas and library staff, for your support during our hanging sessions.

Other Sanford Arts Commission rotating exhibit locations include: The Sanford Water District Office, 243 River St; the Economic Growth Council window, 917 Main St; Downhill Bagel, 446 Main St, Springvale; Eldredge Lumber, 1787 Main St; Nasson Community Center/Little Theater, 457 Main St, Springvale and the Sanford Performing Arts Center (open during scheduled performances).

Remember to join us on the 2nd Friday of each month for art walks in Central Park from 4-7 pm. Enjoy face-painting, fiber arts, henna tattoos, jewelry makers, musicians, painters, photographers, potters, quilters, seamstresses, woodworkers, writers, jugglers and more. Celebrate your local artists!

These are all free public events. If you would like to be included in any of these rotating exhibits or art walks, please email to the attention of Evelyn at  artwalks@sanfordmaine.org
