It’s almost time to empty the bus: The annual school supplies distribution event by Stuff the Bus Maine will be held on Saturday, Aug. 23, at Curtis Lake Church, Westview Drive, Sanford. No registration is required.
The time to show up is determined by the child’s last name: T-Z at 9 am; N-S at 10 am; H-M at 11 am; and A-G at 11:30 am. If a family has multiple children with different last names, use the youngest child’s last name for the whole family. For those attending without children, arrive at 11 am and event volunteers will pack the supplies. For each child, bring one 3×5 index card with the parent/guardian’s name, the child’s name, and the grade the child will enter in Fall 2025.
SHS orientation and schedule availability planned for Aug. 26: An orientation for incoming freshmen and new students at Sanford High School (SHS) is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 26, at 6 pm at the high school. Students and their families will have the opportunity to connect with the SHS community, become familiar with the campus, get important information for the school year, and meet staff.
Schedules for the 2025-2026 school year at Sanford High School will go live on Tuesday, Aug. 26, at 2 pm. Students and families should check Infinite Campus for access to the schedules.
