Fall flower fundraiser is an annual event: St. Thomas School is holding its annual Mum Fundraiser through Sept. 10 to benefit the school. A variety of colors are offered at a price of $15 for each 9-inch mum or a 3-pack bundle for $40. Pick-up is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 12, from 3 to 5:30 pm in the St. Thomas School parking lot. Orders can be placed here.
Did you know that school meals are free in Sanford?Maine offers free school meals, including a balanced breakfast, every day during the school year. Breakfast service at the three elementary schools runs 8 – 8:20 am; at Sanford Middle School 7:10 – 7:40 am; and at Sanford High School 6:45 – 8:15 am.
Home school resources at Springvale Library: Monthly home school meet-ups at Springvale Library begin Sept. 12, from 10 to 11 am. To best help the organizers plan for a successful school year, they’ve prepared a survey so home school participants can choose projects and programs that will be most beneficial. Fill out the survey here.
Enrichment classes abound at SCAE: The fall enrichment flyer from Sanford Community Adult Education is now available. Offerings include workforce training, online certification classes, fitness opportunities, family events, and much more. View the flyer on the SCAE website.
Fall sports sign-up for middle school student athletes: Sanford Middle School fall sports registration is now open for boys soccer (grades 7 and 8), girls soccer (grades 7 and 8), field hockey (grades 7 and 8), and cross country (grades 6 through 8).
