The Courtney Cleaners building on lower Main Street was demolished this week as part of the clearing to make way for the new 29,000 square foot Sanford Fire and EMS Headquarters. Groundbreaking is expected in March. Voters in November 2024 approved a $42.5 million bond to replace the Central Fire Station and Springvale Station.
