Hijacking Pi Day for Pizza Across York County

3/14 isn't just for math enthusiasts anymore

National Pie Day came and went on January 23rd. Sadly, there’s nothing we can do about that now.

But this Saturday is 3/14 — Pi Day — and we’re not about to let another perfectly good excuse for pie slip away.

Sure, Pi Day technically started as a celebration for math lovers. You know, 3.14… the famous mathematical constant. But somewhere along the way, the world realized something important: pie doesn’t have to be math-related. And if there’s one kind of pie worth celebrating, it’s pizza.

So we’re doing what any reasonable group of hungry radio people would do.

This Saturday, we’re loading up the Seacoast Oldies van and hijacking Pi Day for a York County pizza tour.

Here’s the challenge: Where should we go?

Do we stay local in Sanford and grab a slice from the legendary Paras Pizza? It’s a longtime favorite and a staple for generations of locals.

Or do we swing over to OTTO, where creative toppings and thin crust have built a serious following?

Maybe we head toward Lebanon and check out Union Breakfast & Pizza.

And what about the Berwicks? Folks there swear by North Berwick House of Pizza.

Down the coast, we could swing through Wells. What’cha got? Saco…for Saco House of Pizza… or maybe we take a detour to Old Orchard Beach and see what’s coming out of the ovens at Lisa’s Pizza.

Honestly, the possibilities are endless—and our stomachs are ready.

The only rule? We go where you tell us.

If there’s a hidden gem, a legendary slice, or a pizza place you swear is the best in York County, we want to hear about it.

Think of yourself as our pizza tour guide.

Drop your recommendations, tag your favorite spot, and help us decide where the Seacoast Oldies van should stop on our unofficial York County Pi Day Pizza Tour.

Because one thing’s for sure:
Weekend calories don’t count. 🍕

Andy Austin

Andy Austin here and thank you for clicking! It’s great to be back in Sanford after 25 years. Growing up here, I’ve spent the majority of my working life in radio. Had it not been for Media Technology at the Sanford Vocation Center and the doors that opened soon after, there’s no telling where I would have gone. With Seacoast Oldies, it’s a pleasure to help serve the community through the power and messaging of radio. Aside from broadcasting, I’ve worked extensively with NASCAR in various roles, but my real passion is cycling. Road, gravel, and fat tire cycling make up a lot of the time I spend outdoors. My girlfriend Heather and I have two rescue animals in Brandon the cat and Ollie Walter the Bernedoodle.
