The Sanford-Springvale Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that they have completed a three-year strategic plan after receiving feedback from members and the community. The plan focuses on three pillars: connect, educate, and promote. Some goals of the Chamber include: strengthening the Board of Directors, claiming its identity with a new logo, exploring moving to downtown Sanford, connecting with the community and its nonprofit members, publishing materials to increase foot traffic in Sanford, increasing staffing, and improving the website. Chamber President, Cari Quater, will visit local groups to present the plan, as well as host an online presentation on May 13 for anyone who is interested in learning more.

There has been a significant expansion of the Chamber’s professional network with the addition of 11 new businesses in the first quarter of 2026, compared to four new members during quarter one of 2025. “We are seeing the results of our increase in communication to our members, and our visibility within our community,” says Quater. “We had 10 new members join in the last quarter of 2025, and I anticipate this trend will continue. Businesses are seeing the good work we are doing and want to be a part of it.”

The Chamber had a successful Trivia Night fundraiser in late March. Thanks to corporate sponsors Central Maine Power, Partners Bank, and table sponsors Sean Dumont/Edward Jones and Kennebunk Savings. The funds raised go to supporting Chamber programs. The winning team was the Sanford Springvale News!

The Sanford-Springvale Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting a positive business climate which best serves its membership and community through business retention and expansion.
