Slate of Municipal Candidates Set for November Election

City Clerk Sue Cote has released the certified list of candidates for municipal elections. They are listed here in the order they will appear on the ballot. Party affiliations were indicated by candidates on their registration forms but will not be shown on the ballot for these nonpartisan offices.

A few other people took out nomination papers but didn’t submit them by the deadline.
Candidates’ nights are being organized by the Chamber of Commerce this year. Mayoral and City Council candidates will be featured on Oct. 1 and School Committee and legislative candidates on Oct. 8.
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3. Voting at Sanford High School will be open from 7 am to 8 pm. Absentee ballots will be mailed, and early in-person voting will begin Oct. 5 if ballots have been received by then. You may request an absentee ballot online at https://absenteeballotrequest.sos.maine.gov/ or by calling the City Clerk’s office at (207) 324-9125.
