Enjoy delicious lunches in social settings across York and Cumberland counties.

Community Cafés are available in communities throughout Cumberland and York counties and provide participants an opportunity to socialize with other attendees while enjoying a delicious and nutritious lunch. Some Community Cafés also offer entertainment (such as bingo, games, and musical acts) or educational opportunities (such as speakers and resource tables).

Community Café Details

  • Cafés are open to Maine residents age 60 and older.
  • Meal times and days of service vary by location. See specific café for details.
  • First-time Community Café guests will be asked to complete a brief registration form and may be asked to show a photo ID or proof of age when registering. Reservations are required. Please call the individual café at least 48 hours in advance to reserve your meal. If you’re unable to attend, we kindly ask that you call to cancel your reservation.
  • The standard suggested donation per meal is $9. It can vary in the event of specialty meals so please contact the location directly for more information.
  • For participants under 60, individuals who do not want to register, or for out of state diners, you may enjoy the meal with us for full price. *Full-price varies by location.

What’s for Lunch?

Community Cafés offer a variety of catered meals depending on location and the day the program is being offered. All meals come with a choice of coffee, tea, or milk and dessert is included.

Community Cafés are welcoming, local dining experiences where older adults can enjoy a nutritious meal, connect with others, and spend time in a friendly, supportive setting. Each location offers something a little different, but all are rooted in the same goal: bringing people together around good food and conversation.
