Wednesday, Sept 16, Tuesday, September 22, Wednesday, September 30 @ 5:30 pm
Dirigo Law will be presenting a three-part series on taking care of the legal needs of your senior and your family. Some of the several topics to be covered include revocable living trusts and trusts designed to retain assets when nursing home costs are incurred and MaineCare might be involved, financial power of attorney, transfer on death deeds, health care directives, care giver agreements, asset protection through Medicaid Asset Protection Trusts (The five year rule) which allows converting assets to an income stream as a valuable resource. The third class covers unfamiliar benefits such as for Veterans and their spouses, aid and attendance, guardianships and conservatorships and preservation of assets and income for a healthy spouse when their spouse is institutionalized. You do not need to attend all classes. Click here for program descriptions.
