Tom Pinette, 57, of Sanford, passed away on July 10, 2025. Tom was born on May 28, 1968, in Bristol, CT, to Clarence and Clairina (Lang) Pinette. He moved to Maine as a teenager and made Sanford his home. He lived a life filled with stories, laughter and love. Tom was an avid trail rider with a remarkable ability to navigate the rugged trail systems that spanned from northern Maine to northern New Hampshire. He spent many years in the trades as a skilled sheetrock installer and was respected for his craftsmanship and strong work ethic. He was a gifted storyteller and loved to have a good time, usually on the back wheel of a dirt bike or 4-wheeler. With a sly smile and perfectly timed jokes, he knew how to lift spirits and remind others that things could always be worse. His authenticity and quick wit were matched only by his deep love for his family. He is survived by his beloved son, Thomas Pinette, and his cherished granddaughter, Clarina Marie, who brought immense joy to his life. Tom is also survived by his five siblings, John (Victoria) Pinette, Tammie (Gary) Ireland, Scott (Sandy) Pinette, Jeffery Pinette and fiancée Sabrina Britch, and Lenny Pinette. He also leaves a very large extended family. He was predeceased by his parents. Tom’s presence, humor, and generous heart will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A Celebration of Life will be held at New Beginnings Christian Church, 181 Grammar Road in Sanford, on Saturday, Aug. 23, at 3 pm.

Marcel loved the outdoors—whether it was hunting, fishing, or just hanging out with friends listening to music and cooking out. He loved going to concerts and he was a huge New England Patriots fan. Marcel had a great personality, sense of humor and a fun-loving nature that made him so easy to love. No matter how busy life got he always made it a point to reach out the ones he loved. Marcel cherished his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Nancy Gagne.
