Fall youth soccer sign-up: Registration for fall soccer through the Sanford Springvale Soccer Association is now open. The association aims to give players the chance to build skills, make friends, and enjoy the game in a fun, supportive environment. Several programs are available — Little Kickers for U5, Peewee for U6 – U7, Juniors for U8 – U9, and Travel for U10, U11, U12, U13, and U14. Register at sanfordsoccer.org by the June 15 deadline. 

Fall football, cheer and field hockey registration is open: The Sanford Springvale Youth Athletic Association has opened up fall registration for flag football (grades 1-2), tackle football (grades 3-8), cheerleading (grades K-8), and field hockey (grades K-6). Payment plans are available on the website during the registration process. In addition, the association announced that volunteers are needed to coach at all levels of the football, cheerleading and field hockey programs. FMI, and to sign up, visit ssyaa.org

B’ball skills and drills for girls: A Spartan Girls Basketball Clinic is scheduled for June 22 – 26, 10 am – noon, at Sanford High School for grades 3 – 9. Campers will receive instruction from the varsity coaches and players, with a focus on skills, drills, games and fun. The cost is $85 per camper, $150 for two siblings.
