Sanford High School Seniors Sign to Play College Sports

Sanford High School seniors are honored as they sign on to play college sports.

Sanford High School held its annual Senior Athlete Signing Ceremony in the Performing Arts Center Wednesday, May 27, recognizing 16 members of the Class of 2026 who will continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level.

Athletic Director Zach Lemelin opened the ceremony by recognizing the dedication and countless hours these student-athletes have invested in their sports before introducing each senior with remarks from their coaches.

The signees are: Ryan Alexander (Southern Maine Community College, basketball), Olivia Adornetto (Colby-Sawyer College, tennis), Brady Boissonneault (Curry College, football), Evelyn Cole (Maine Maritime Academy, lacrosse), Gabrielle Favolise (Thomas College, volleyball), Dylan Gendron (University of Southern Maine, basketball), Carter Giroux (Southern Maine Community College, basketball), Matthew Hebert (New England College, baseball), Gavin Hebler (York County Community College, soccer), Ava Hudson (New England College, soccer), Linda-Rose Krol (Dominican University, field hockey), Isabella McCall (St. Joseph’s College of Maine, soccer), Sophie Olivio (Norwich University, soccer & lacrosse), Annalise Stimmell (St. Joseph’s College of Maine, soccer & track), Rory White (Simmons University, swimming), and Georgia Whitman (St. Joseph’s College of Maine, track & field).

The ceremony concluded with each athlete signing their certificate of commitment, marking the next chapter of their academic and athletic careers.
