Spring Sports Awards Night Recognizes Sanford High School Athletes

Sanford High School held its Spring Sports Awards Recognition Night on Monday, June 8, in the Performing Arts Center, where Athletic Director Zach Lemelin and spring coaches honored and recognized student-athletes.

More than 50 athletes earned All-Academic certificates for cumulative GPAs of 92.5 or higher, and coaches presented team awards including MVP honors for Matthew Hebert (baseball), Elijah Bowden (boys tennis), Isaac Pelletier and Jack Van Gieson (boys track and field), and Jaslinn Johnson and Mattea Peters (girls track and field). Softball’s Reese Beaudoin was named Rookie of the Year and earned All-Conference Honorable Mention alongside teammate Bree Tyler.

Girls lacrosse standouts Paige Sevigny and Zoey McCann were named All-Conference, with Peyton White selected to the SMAA All-Rookie Team. Hebert also received the Freddy Parent Award for York County among several Spartans earning all-conference recognition.
